How it works
From pickup to drop-off in three steps

Step 1
Set your trip
Your current location fills in as the pickup. Search for where you're going or drop a pin on the map, then choose Driveroo X, XL, Premium or Taxi and see the estimated fare.

Step 2
Meet your driver
Driveroo offers your trip to the nearest available driver. Once they accept, you'll see their name, photo, car and number plate, and follow them on the map until they pull up.

Step 3
Ride and pay
Chat or call your driver in the app, with SOS on the trip screen the whole way. When you arrive, your saved card is charged and the receipt is emailed. Add a tip if you'd like to, then rate your driver.

Where does Driveroo operate?
Driveroo is a rideshare for Perth, Western Australia. You can book a trip that starts inside our Perth service area, from Perth Airport into the city, or out to Northbridge, Fremantle and Optus Stadium.
When can I download the app?
The Driveroo app for iPhone and Android is coming soon. Register your interest and we'll email you when it's ready.
How is my fare worked out?
Each trip starts with a base fare, then adds a rate for every kilometre and every minute, with rates set for each ride type. A short trip is charged at least the minimum fare. When lots of people in one area want a ride and few drivers are nearby, busy-time pricing applies, and it's always included in the fare you see before you book. It never applies to waiting time, cancellation fees or tips.
Is the fare I see before booking the final price?
It's an estimate, worked out from the route and how long the trip should take, with any busy-time pricing included. Your final fare is worked out when you arrive, from the actual distance and time plus any waiting time, and your receipt shows each part on its own line.
How does Driveroo choose my driver?
Your trip is offered to the nearest available driver for the ride type you chose. If they don't accept within a few seconds, it goes to the next nearest driver. If no one accepts, you aren't charged, and you can try again or pick another ride type.
How do I pay?
By card, saved securely in the app. Your card is charged when the trip ends and the receipt is emailed to you. Tips are optional and added after the trip. They're never part of the fare, and all of your tip goes to your driver.
Can I cancel a ride?
Yes. Cancelling is free while we look for a driver and for a short time after one accepts. After that, or once your driver has arrived, a cancellation fee applies, and the app shows it before you confirm. There's no fee if your driver cancels or no driver is found.
What if my driver is waiting for me?
The first few minutes of waiting at the pickup are free. After that, waiting time is charged per minute, and the app tells you when it starts.
How do I become a driver?
Apply on the Drive with Driveroo page. You'll then sign up in the driver app, upload your licence, vehicle registration, insurance and a photo, and start taking trips once our team approves them.
