Why Driveroo

Why we're building Driveroo

Perth is a big, spread-out city. One night it's a short trip home from Northbridge, the next it's an early run to Perth Airport or a Sunday afternoon in Fremantle.

We started Driveroo because every one of those trips should feel the same: clear, calm and easy to trust. You should know what you'll pay before you book, see exactly who's picking you up, and never wonder where your car is.

We're starting with one city and building everything around how Perth gets around: the app, the checks every driver goes through, and the help when you need it.

  1. Calm

    No guesswork, from the first tap to the drop-off.

    • An estimated fare before you book

      Every ride type shows its estimated fare before you confirm. At busy times, the busy-time price is already included in what you see.

    • Live tracking

      Follow your driver on the map as they come to you, then watch your trip all the way to your drop-off.

    Know who's coming, and keep help close.

    • A driver you can check

      Before they arrive, you'll see your driver's name, photo, car and number plate. Our team checks every driver's licence, registration, insurance and photo before they can take trips.

      The SOS button stays on the trip screen for the whole ride. Tap it, confirm, and your phone calls 000.

  3. Dependable

    The same clear steps, every time you ride.

    • Card payment

      Save a card once. The fare is charged when you arrive, and your receipt is emailed to you.

    • A rating for every trip

      After each ride you can rate your driver, and drivers rate riders too. Ratings help our team keep every trip up to standard.
